A seasoned education leader, my journey began with a Multimedia & Internet Technology degree, followed by teaching in Further and Higher Education. My commitment to innovative learning approaches, backed by a PGCE, paved the way for roles in curriculum and training management at apprenticeship training providers. Fuelled by a passion for tech-enabled learning, I assumed the role of Head of Curriculum, Innovation, and Technology at a prominent Digital industry Apprenticeship training provider. Overseeing the design and development of thirteen digital industry standards, I earned recognition for these achievements. The disruptive impact of the Covid-19 pandemic revealed the potential of my digital skills to benefit training organisations across various sectors. In 2021, I embraced the role of Group Head of Digital Learning at the JTL group. Here, I guide the digital strategy for JTL Training (8,000 learners), Develop Training (10,000 delegates yearly), and CompEx, a global certification body for engineers in explosive environments. Notably, I spearheaded the LEDA® Platform, a multi-tenanted LMS, from conceptualisation to active utilisation on 6 continents and in 56 countries. Collaborating with a Moodle premium partner, I effectively branded a Moodle Workplace instance, differentiating the JTL group for end-users across its diverse arms and creating a new commercial revenue stream through bespoke portals for large engineering sector clients. Throughout, my goal has been to lead JTL into the forefront of educational innovation, driving digital transformation within the sector on a global scale.
